The Parents and Citizens' Association (P&C) is a great way of getting to know what’s going on at your school. To be involved is the best way for the community to be a part of the planning and growth process of Western Suburbs State Special School, thereby making a positive contribution into the education of our children.
The P&C organises and supports running a range of fundraising programs i.e. Mother’s Day and Father’s Stalls, Easter and Christmas Raffles, School Discos and Festivals. P&C also involves in submitting grant applications to obtain support for various school projects that facilitate student engagement and transition.
WSSSS P&C meets 6-8 times a year on a Wednesday midday in the Meeting Room of the Administration building. Meeting dates are advised in the school newsletter, or you can contact the school for the next meeting time. Meetings are between 45 minutes – 1 hour and include regular updates from the Principal, from teaching staff about school programs and from members about events and activities of P&C. The P&C also has representatives at special assemblies and school ceremonies to celebrate successes and achievements of our children.
We welcome and encourage our parents and carers to be part of our school’s P&C and contribute to our school growth as we strive to succeed together.
