The Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement (QCIA) recognises the achievements of students who have participated in highly individualised learning programs. To be eligible, students must have a recognised impairment or difficulties in learning that are not primarily due to socioeconomic, cultural or linguistic factors.
The QCIA is an official record that a student has completed at least 12 years of education. It also summarises the student's knowledge and skills for employers and training providers.
The certificate records the student's achievements in 2 areas:
The Statement of Achievement lists the student's knowledge and skills which have been demonstrated across their senior years using the five QCIA curriculum organisers.
The Statement of Participation lists the names or titles of activities which the student has undertaken in Years 11 and 12
