Lifestyle Programs

PublishingPageContent

Lifestyle and leisure programs are community-based centres that offer post school services for those students who cannot access a work placement. All participants are engaged in a range of activities to enhance learning, independence and life skills.  Students in Year 12 visit these places to become accustomed with programs and to provide a smoother transition upon graduation.

Criteria to transition to life style programs:

  • All students whose living skills do not meet the expectations to be independent.
  • Students that need continuous assistance with gross and fine motor support.
  • Students needing support and supervision with travel training and participation in the community.
  • Students needing supervision with time and behaviour management.
  • Students who need assistance with personal care and domestic tasks.
  • Students who require social contact.
