Lifestyle and leisure programs are community-based centres that offer post school services for those students who cannot access a work placement. All participants are engaged in a range of activities to enhance learning, independence and life skills. Students in Year 12 visit these places to become accustomed with programs and to provide a smoother transition upon graduation.
Criteria to transition to life style programs:
All students whose living skills do not meet the expectations to be independent.
Students that need continuous assistance with gross and fine motor support.
Students needing support and supervision with travel training and participation in the community.
Students needing supervision with time and behaviour management.
Students who need assistance with personal care and domestic tasks.
Students who require social contact.
